Cray Fite hit a home run and Landon Scilley pitched a two-hitter to propel the Mason County Royals to a 1-0 win over the Bishop Brossart Mustangs in the opening game of the 10th Region Tournament at Harrison County Monday.
It's Mason County's first win in a 10th Region Tournament game since 2014.
Scilley struckout nine and walked one in boosting his record to 7-1.
Mason County (23-7) has won four straight games and seven of eight.
The Royals will play the Harrison County Thorobreds in the semifinals Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Harrison County beat Bourbon County 6-2 Monday.
