The high school wrestling season ended with the KHSAA State Wrestling Championships Thursday through Saturday at Alltech Arena in Lexington.
Breanna Rosenberg (152), the first Mason County female to qualify for the state tournament, went 0-2.
Evan Martin (113) went 1-2, Bryson Carrington (150) and Theron Ritchie (285) both went 0-2.
The tournament is double-elimination.
Three Mason County wrestlers have qualified for the boys' state tournament.
Evan Martin (113) was the Region 8 runner-up on Saturday at Boyd County Middle School. Martin is a back-to-back state qualifier.
Bryson Carrington (150) is a three-time state qualifier after taking fourth place at the region tournament.
Theron Ritchie (HWT) took third place at region to earn his first trip to the state tournament.

The Boys' State Wrestling Championships presented by UK HealthCare will take place February 28 and March 1 at Alltech Arena in Lexington.
Breanna Rosenberg took fourth place at the Region 4 wrestling tournament on Saturday in Campbellsville and is the first Mason County female wrestler to qualify for the state tournament.
The Lady Royals finished 12th out of 28 teams.
Heaven Marshall finished in sixth place.
Other Lady Royals picking up wins include: Paige Collins, Jacey Muntz, Abby Staggs and Autumn Jackson.
The Girls' State Wrestling Championship presented by UK HealthCare will take place on February 27 at Alltech Arena in Lexington.
The Mason County boys wrestling team went 2-2 at the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches Association state duals on Saturday at Corbin Arena.
The Royals lost to Ft. Campbell 39-38 and McCreary County Central 38-36 and defeated Bell County 51-27 and Green County 46-36.
Mason County missed on advancing to the placement rounds by four points.
Three wrestlers—Evan Martin, Caleb Roy and Theron Ritchie—were undefeated.
The Lady Royals competed at the Lady Cardinal Invite, an individual event at George Rogers Clark.
Breanna Rosenberg finished first, Abby Staggs third, Heaven Marshall fourth, Autumn Jackson fourth and Paige Collins fifth.
The Mason County girls' wrestling team competed at the Generals Tournament at Lafayette on Friday and the boys' team traveled to Winchester on Saturday for the Cardinal Classic.
Jacey Muntz was a second place finisher at Lafayette.
The short-handed Royals went 4-1 with a second place finish at the Cardinal Classic.
Five Royals were undefeated on Saturday: Evan Martin (113) 5-0, Adam Miller (126) 5-0, Caleb Roy (144) 5-0, Hunter Truesdell (165) 3-0 and Tyler Mellenkamp (190) 4-0.
The Mason County wrestling team went 3-2 at the Commodore Duals at Tates Creek on Saturday.
Sophomore Creston Fuller (138) was named the Royals' Most Outstanding Wrestler after going 5-0.
The Royals will be in action on Wednesday at Montgomery County.
Ten Mason County wrestlers have received All-Region recognition based on their performances at the Region 8 meet on Saturday.
Bryson Carrington and Mecaylon Jackson were named First Team All-Region.
Evan Martin and Barry Gifford were named Second Team All-Region.
Carrington, Jackson, Martin and Gifford qualified for the state chmpionships.
Six other Mason County wrestlers who placed in the region meet received All-Region Honorable Mention recognition. They are Issac Henderson, Evan Lamb, Creston Fuller, Izley Morales and Theron Ritchie.
Four Mason County wrestlers qualified for the state tournament with fourth place or higher finishes at the KHSAA Region 8 meet on Saturday at Pike County Central.
Bryson Carson (120-pounds) and Mecaylon Jackson (215- pounds) had second place finishes; Barry Gifford took third place in the 215-pound class and Evan Martin finished fourth in the 106-pound division.
Three fifth place finishers — Issac Henderson (113), Hunter Truesdell (150) and Izley Morales (190) — are state alternates.
Three other Mason County wrestlers — Eaven Lamb (126), Creston Fuller (132) and Theron Ritchie (HWT) — had sixth place finishes.
The Raging Royals finished fourth in the team standings and had the second most pins. Both are the best in program history.
The four state qualifiers and 10 region placers are program highs.
The Wrestling State Championships will take place Feb. 15-16 at Alltech Arena at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

The Mason County Royals wrestling team took second place at the Greenup County Duals on Saturday.
The Royals defeated Ashland 42-36, Greenup County 42-30, Russell 54-24, South Point 42-16, Raceland 54-24 and lost to the Boyd County Lions 51-21,
Brandon Stamm was named Most Outstanding Wrestler after going 6-0 with three pins and racking up 33 team points in the 138-pound weight class.
The Mason County Royals wrestling team won the 1A Section 4 dual championship on Saturday at West Carter.
The Royals defeated East Carter 69-12 and West Carter 66-18 in pool matches.
In the championship round, Mason County beat Floyd Central 66-15.
Senior Barry Gifford won the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award after going 3-0 with three pins.
The Royals qualified for the 1A state duals on January 27 at Nelson County.
Mason County finished second in the Bourbon County Duals on December 30.
Eighth-grader Bryson Carrington went 3-0 with three pins and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
The Mason County girls' wrestling team, competing in its first-ever team dual, finished third out of 12 teams at the Lafayette 5 Star Classic in Lexington on Friday night.
Brooklyn Workman, Chandon Lee and Autumn Jackson had podium finishes.
With a 3-2 record the Mason County wrestling team finished in fifth place at the Warhawk Duals in Georgetown on Saturday.
The Royals defeated Scott County 42-40, Western Hills 42-40 and Henry Clay 48-30 and lost to Great Crossing 72-6 and Bullitt Central 48-33.
Barry Gifford (175) went 5-0 with five pins.
Colton Kinney (215/285) had two wins while wrestling up a weight class most of the day.
Izley Morales (190/215) and Taten Carrington (190/215) each had a pin while competing up a weight class.
Carson Ginn (157), Hunter Truesdell (150) and Bryson Carrington (120) had two wins apiece.
The boys will be back in action Friday night at West Carter. The girls travel to Taylor County on Saturday.
The Mason County wrestling team went 1-1 in its first dual meet of the season Wednesday night.
The Royals defeated Bryan Station 45-12 and lost to Montgomery County 42-39 at Montgiomery County.

Mason County wrestlers Bryson Carrington and Colton Kinney both lost their opening round matches in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association First Round State Tournament at Ryle High School on Saturday.
Carrington, a seventh grader, lost by fall in the 120-pound weight class and Kinney, a sophomore, lost by technical fall in the 190-pound weight class. Carrington and Kinney are the first Mason County wrestlers to qualifiy for the state tournament.
In a Facebook post Mason County coach Corey Arthur wrote that the Royals will return 13 of their 14 weight classes next season. He also wrote, "Proud of this entire Group they left it all on the Mat."
The Mason County wrestling team, in only its second season of existence, finished fifth in the Region 8 tournament at Martin County on Saturday.
Sophomore Colton Kinney and seventh grader Bryson Carrington qualified for the First Round of the state tournament which will take place this Saturday at Ryle High School in Union.
Kinney finished third in the 190 pound weight class and Carrington was fourth in the 120 pound weight class. The top four in each weight class advanced to the First Round of the state tournament.
The First Round brackets, determined by a random draw table, were released by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association on Sunday. Carrington drew Boyle County freshman Ethan Masters and Kinney drew George Rogers Clark junior Jesse Shaddix.
Wrestlers from Regions 5-8 will compete at Ryle on Saturday.
The gates open for spectators at 8 a.m. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
Tickets are available online-only at khsaatickets.org. Tickets purchased in advance are $11 each. Tickets purchased on Saturday will cost $13 each.
The Mason County wrestling team split a tri-meet against Mt. Healthy and Dixie Heights Wednesday night at Dixie Heights.
The Raging Royals defeated Mt. Healthy 54-18 and lost to Dixie Heights 42-33.
On December 6, Mason County beat Greenup County 55-24 and East Carter 60-24 at Greenup County.
The Raging Royals will host the Raceland Rams in a dual meet tonight at 6 o'clock at the Lady Royals Gym.
The Mason County School System is adding wrestling to the sports offered to middle school and high school students.
Male and female students in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to participate.
Corey Arthur will be the head coach.
Mason County will be in Region 8 with Ashland, Belfry, Boyd County, Greenup County, Hazard, Johnson Central, Letcher Central, Martin County, Montgomery County, Perry County Central, Phelps, Pike County Central, Pikeville, Prestonsburg and West Carter.
A team meeting is scheduled Wednesday, November 10 at 6 p.m. in the Commons Area of the Mason County Career Magnet School.

Campbell County seniors Korey Shotwell and Nathan "Nate" Ilg will continue their wrestling careers in college. Shotwell, a resident of Maysville, signed today with The Citadel in Charleston, SC. Ilg signed with Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky. Ilg's grandparents, Bill and Mary Flynn, live in Mason County. Shotwell was a regional champion three out of the last four years. He finished third in the 145 pound class in the state tournament this past season. Shotwell is seventh on the national wins list with 276 career victories and holds five school records. Ilg won the region and finished seventh in the 189 pound class at the state tournament. Shotwell and Ilg were both named Kentucky Wrestling All-Stars by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
