Seventy-eight golfers, including defending champion Elijah McCarty, are scheduled to tee off Saturday in the first round of the 57th Firecracker tournament at Kenton Station Golf Course.
The field will be placed into flights following the first round. The final round will be played on Sunday.
McCarty won last year's tournament with a 36-hole score of 19-under par 121.
Jordan Hughes and Elijah McCarty won the Kenton Station/Fleming County 2-Man Scramble for the third straight year over the weekend.
Hughes and McCarty had a 36-hole score of 24-under 118 with rounds of 59 and 59. The first round was played Saturday at Kenton Station Golf Course and the second round was Sunday at Fleming County Golf Association.
Mike Kennedy and Brett Ruckel finished second at 20 under and Cameron Ruckel and Carson Brammer were third at 19 under.

Former West Union High School and Shawnee State University standout Elijah McCarty won the 56th Firecracker tournament at Kenton Station Golf Course with a two-day total of 19-under-par 121.
McCarty, a 2018 graduate of West Union, followed up his 10-under 60 in the first round Saturday with a 61 Sunday.
He shot a 29 with six birdies on the front nine Sunday.
Rick Harmon finished second, six shots back.
Troy Grooms fired a 62 Sunday and took third place at 12 under.
Defending champion Tyler Lippert finished fourth at 11 under.

Hughes and McCarty, former teammates at Shawnee State University, shot a 15-under 55 on Saturday at Kenton Station Golf Course and a 12-under 60 on Sunday at Fleming County Golf Association for a two-day day total of 27-under 115. They shot a 29 on the front nine on Sunday.
The teams of Jake O'Mara/Evan Schumacher and Chris Smoot/Josh Goddard tied for second at 25-under. O'Mara and Schumacher shot a 29 on the back nine on Sunday.

The Shawnee State University Bears moved up two spots to 8th place at the Mid-South Conference Golf Tournament.
The Bears shot a 24-over-par 312 in the second round today at Bowling Green Country Club and are 55-over heading into the final round on Wednesday.
Shawnee State junior BJ Knox followed up his opening round 78 with a 77 today. He moved up seven spots to T22. He is 11 shots off the lead.
Patrick England shot a 77 today and T34 at 14-over. Jordan Hughes and Elijah McCarty both shot 79s today and are T37 at 16-over.
BJ Knox and his teammate, Austin Barta, were Co-Medalists and led the Shawnee State University Bears men's golf team to a six-stroke victory in the Harry Weinbrecht Invitational today at Elks Country Club, SSU's home course.
It's Shawnee State's fifth invitational win of the season.
Knox and Barta fired three-under 69s. Knox, a junior from Maysville, has finished second or better in each of his last four events while winning three of the four.
Jordan Hughes, a junior from Flemingsburg, shot a two-under 70 and tied for third place.
Elijah McCarty, a junior from West Union, tied for seventh place at two-over 74.
