Saints beat Bath County 9-2

Abi Ignacio had a hat trick to lead the St. Patrick Saints to a 9-2 win over the Bath County Wildcats on Saturday in Owingsville.

Amari Myrick and Juan Antonio Briseno both scored two goals and had an assist and Rudy Ignacio and Jose Arturo Bautista both scored a goal.

St. Patrick (2-6) will play at Villa Madonna on Monday.

Augusta and Mason County semifinal winners in boys' 39th District Tournament

The Augusta Panthers and the Mason County Royals will meet in the championship game of the 39th District Tournament on Thursday night after picking up lopsided wins in the semifinals on Tuesday night.

Keeton Bach scored 18 points, Noland Young 17 and Will Kelsch 14 as Augusta picked up its 18th win of the season.

Amari Myrick scored 19 points for St. Patrick which ended the season with a 3-24 record.

Augusta (18-9) only led by four points late in the first quarter, but ended the first half on a 34-9 run and went to the locker room with a 48-19. The Panthers got the running clock with 6:04 remaining in the third quarter.

Braeden Myrick made six 3-pointers and led five Royals in double figures with 23 points as Mason County ran its winning streak to six games.

Teegin Routt scored nine of his career-high 16 points in the first quarter, Garryon McClain followed with 12 points and Cole Horch and Jace Merz each had 10 points.

Noah Nelson had an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double for Bracken County (10-21). Teegan Feldhaus tossed in 11 points and Greg Benedict added 10.

Mason County (15-13) jumped out to a 7-0 lead, was up 43-28 at the half and led by as many as 30 points in the second half.

Saints lose to Trinity Christian Academy

The St. Patrick Saints closed out the regular season with a 91-41 loss to the Trinity Christian Academy Titans on Friday night in Lexington.

Glenn Reed and Amari Myrick led the Saints in scoring with 10 points apiece.

Trinity Christian Academy senior guard Bryce Thompson made eight 3-pointers and scored 51 points.

St. Patrick (3-23) will play the Augusta Panthers on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament at The Fieldhouse.

Saints end skid with a 60-59 win over Covington Latin

Amari Myrick scored 26 points and Rudy Ignacio added 11 points as the St. Patrick Saints snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 60-59 victory over the Covington Latin Trojans on Wednesday night at Covington Catholic.

The Saints outscored the Trojans 21-3 in the second quarter. The Trojans outscored the Saints 30-15 in the fourth quarter.

St. Patrick (3-22) will travel to Lexington on Friday to play the Trinity Christian Titans.

Saints fall to Dayton

The St. Patrick Saints were outscored 44-26 in the second half and lost to the Dayton Greendevils 71-48 on Monday afternoon in the Martin Luther King Classic at Bracken County.

Amari Myrick led St. Patrick in scoring with 18 points.

The Saints (3-21) will play Covington Latin on Wednesday night at Covington Catholic.

Saints fall to Frankfort Christian

The St. Patrick Saints suffered a 66-54 loss to the Frankfort Christian Royals on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter, but were outscored by the Royals 21-6 in the second quarter and 20-13 in the third quarter.

Amari Myrick and Abi Ignacio each scored 16 points and Glenn Reed added 14 points.

St. Patrick (2-17) will host the Robertson County Black Devils on Monday night.

Saints fall to Calvary Christian

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the homestanding Calvary Christian Cougars 66-44 on Saturday.

Sophomore Peyton Morris scored a game-high 30 points for Calvary Christian (7-10).

Abi Ignacio led St. Patrick with 23 points and Amari Myrick added 10.

The Saints (2-14) will host the Bath County Wildcats on Tuesday night.

Saints lose to Holmes in Covington

The St. Patrick Saints suffered a 74-30 loss to the Holmes Bulldogs on Friday night in Covington.

Amari Myrick led the Saints in scoring with eight points.

St. Patrick (2-13) will be back in action on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Calvary Christian.

Myrick scores 31 points and joins 1,000th club in St. Patrick's win over Covington Latin

St. Patrick junior Amari Myrick scored 31 points including his 1,000th career point and the Saints snapped a five-game losing streak with a 60-50 win over the Covington Latin Trojans on Friday night at The Shamrock.

Myrick is the 29th member of the Saints' 1,000 point club. Rudy Ignacio added 13 points for St. Patrick.

Casey Fitzpatrick hit five 3-pointers and scored 27 points for Covington Latin.

The Saints outscored the Trojans 32-21 in the second half.

St. Patrick (2-12) will play the Dayton Greendevils on Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Classic at Bracken County.

Royals beat Saints

Braeden Myrick hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points and Garryon McClain added 12 points as the Mason County Royals snapped a four-game losing streak with a 65-19 victory over the St. Patrick Saints on Thursday night at the Lady Royals Gym.

Amara Myrick was the Saints' leading scorer with eight points.

Mason County (7-6) will host Fleming County on Saturday night.

St. Patrick (1-12) will be right back in action on Friday night against Covington Latin.

St. Patrick swept by Augusta in 1/4 finals of 10th Region All "A" Classic

Both the St. Patrick Lady Saints and Saints were knocked out of the 10th Region All "A" Classic in quarterfinal round games on Monday night at The Shamrock.

The girls' game score was 81-30. The boys' game score was 82-51.

Kenzington Hinson scored a game-high 25 for Lady Panthers (6-8), while Laci Tackett followed with 19 and Reagan Tackett had 11.

Lillilian Klee led the Lady Saints (1-9) with 17 points.

Keeton Bach had a game-high 19 points for the Panthers (8-5) while Ross Carl scored 15, Will Kelsch 14, Noland Young 12 and Maddox Hesler 10.

Glenn Reed led the Saints (1-11) with 17 points, Amari Myrick followed with 14 and Abi Ignacio added 10.

Both the Augusta girls and boys advance to the semifinals to play Bishop Brossart at Robertson County. The boys' game is Tuesday night, the girls' game is on Wednesday.

The Lady Saints will travel to Vanceburg on Tuesday night to play the Lewis County Lions.

The Saints' next game is on Thursday night vs. Mason County at the Lady Royals Gym.

Saints lose to Paris 93-34

The St. Patrick Saints trailed 32-11 at the end of the first quarter and lost to the Paris Greyhounds 93-34 on Friday night in Paris.

Abi Ignacio led St. Patrick with 17 points and Amari Myrick followed with 15 points.

Carter Cobb poured in 32 points and Elijah Webb added 28 for Paris (5-8).

St. Patrick (1-10) will host the Bath County Wildcats on Wednesday night.

Saints fall to Robertson County

The St. Patrick Saints led at the end of each of the first three quarters, but were outscored 26-14 in the final eight minutes and lost to the Robertson County Black Devils 60-52 on Saturday in the third place game of the Ripley Holiday Classic.

Abi Ignacio scored a game-high 21 points for St. Patrick and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Amari Myrick tossed in 12 points for the Saints.

Nate Gray made four 3-pointers and led Robertson County in scoring with 18 points. Ashton Myers scored 17 points and Lucas Burden added 10 for the Black Devils who snapped a four-game losing streak.

St. Patrick (1-9) will play at Paris on Friday.

Robertson County (3-6) will host Frankfort Christian next Saturday.

Lady Saints and Saints both fall to Ripley

The St. Patrick Lady Saints and Saints both lost to Ripley in the semifinals of Ripley Holiday Classic on Friday.

Emma Gallenstein and Lillian Klee both pulled down their 500th career rebounds in the Lady Saints' 66-42 loss to the Lady Jays.

Gallenstein finished with 16 points and Kahdyn Kimball tossed in 12.

Raquel Hackney led Ripley with 16 points. Brooklyn Manning hit for 15 and Grace Taylor added 12.

The Lady Saints will play Felicity in the third place game on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Lady Jays will take on Robertson County in the championship game at 5 p.m.

The Saints fell to the Blue Jays 74-54.

Amari Myrick was St. Patrick's top scorer with 21 points. Rudy Ignacio and Abi Ignacio each scored 12 points.

Jayden Bartley poured in 25 points for Ripley. Blake Fyffe followed with 15 and Tyler Williams added 12.

The Saints will play Robertson County in the third place game on Saturday at 3:30.

The Jays will play Felicity in the championship game at 6:30.

Myrick scores 22 points and Saints edge Covington Latin for first win

Amari Myrick scored 22 points to lead the St. Patrick Saints to 61-59 victory over the homestanding Covington Latin Trojans on Saturday for their first win of the season.

Abi Ignacio added 18 points for St. Patrick and Glenn Reed followed with 13.

The Saints overcame a 35-point performance by Covington Latin senior Casey Fitzpatrick and outscored the Trojans 18-13 in the fourth quarter.

Rudy Ignacio and Amari Myrick scored 10 points apiece for the Saints.

Lady Saints lose to Villa Madonna; Saints fall to Fleming County

The St. Patrick Lady Saints lost to the Villa Madonna Vikings 58-46 and the St. Patrick Saints fell to Fleming County 81-29 in a doubleheader on Friday night at The Shamrock.

Lillian Klee led the Lady Saints in scoring with 23 points. Emma Gallenstein tossed in 16.

Abi Ignacio was the Saints' top scorer with 14. Amari Myrick added 10.

Seth Hickerson scored 21 points for Fleming County. Bradley Robinson followed with 18 points and Kaine Roberts added 12.

The Lady Saints will be back in action on December 20 vs. the Bluegrass Blazers in the Somerset Christian School 2-Day Christmas Tournament.

The Saints will travel to Ironton, Ohio on December 20 to play St. Joseph Central.

Fleming County will play Bracken County on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Mike Murphy Classic at The Fieldhouse.

Saints rally comes up short in loss to Robertson County

The St. Patrick Saints had a huge fourth quarter and finished with their highest point total of the season, but lost to the Robertson County Black Devils 63-59 on Tuesday night at Robertson County.

The Black Devils outscored the Saints 15-6 in the third quarter to lead 41-29. St. Patrick outscored Robertson County 30-21 in the fourth quarter to make it close.

Nathan Turner poured in 20 points to lead four Robertson County players in double figure scoring. Ashton Myers followed with 17 points, Nate Gray tossed in 12 and Andrew Gooden added 10.

Amari Myrick led St. Patrick with 18 points, Abi Ignacio scored 15 and Glenn Reed added 11.

St. Patrick (0-5) will host Fleming County on Friday night.

Robertson County (1-1) will travel to Brooksville on Thursday night to play the Bracken County Polar Bears.

Ashton Buchanan led Bracken County in scoring with 14 points, Noah Nelson tossed in 13, Teegan Feldhaus followed with 12 and Ben Sweet added 11.
