The Mason County Lady Royals volleyball team defeated the East Carter Lady Raiders 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-11) on Monday night in Grayson.
Four Lady Royals had double-digit digs: Halle Pfeffer (25), Hayley Allison (16), Raylee Dotson (11) and Reagan Workman (11).
Mason County (20-11) will close out the regular season on Tuesday night in Falmouth vs. the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats.
The Mason County Lady Royals defeated the Robertson County Lady Devils two sets to one on Thursday night in Mt. Olivet.
Robertson County won the first set 26-24, but Mason County rebounded to win the second and third sets by identical scores of 25-18.
Kyleigh Kirk tallied 21 assists and 10 digs. Five other Lady Royals also had double-digit digs: Halle Pfeffer (22), Hayley Allison (14), Reagan Workman (12), Kennedy Bevins (10) and Mylie Padgett (10).
Workman and Padgett each had seven kills.
The Lady Royals (19-11) will travel to Grayson on Monday night to play the East Carter Lady Raiders.
The Mason County Lady Royals and the St. Patrick Lady Saints volleyball teams both suffered 3-0 road losses on Tuesday night.
The Lady Royals lost to the Augusta Lady Panthers in Augusta. The set scores were 25-16, 26-24 and 25-22.
Four Lady Royals had double digit digs: Reagan Workman with 24, Halle Pfeffer with 20, and Kennedy Bevins and Aaliyah Burns with 10 apiece. Kyleigh Kirk had 17 assists.
Mason County (18-11) will play at Robertson County on Thursday night.
St. Patrick lost to the Harrison County Fillies in Cynthiana. The set scores were 25-13, 25-4 and 25-16.
The Lady Saints (7-15) will host the Bath County Lady Wildcats on Thursday night.
The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Nicholas County Lady Jackets in five sets on Thursday night at The Fieldhouse.
Nicholas County won the first set 27-25. Mason County took the second set 25-21. The Lady Jackets won the third set 25-22. The Lady Royals won the fourth set 27-25 before Nicholas County closed out the match by winning the fifth set 15-11.
Halle Pfeffer had 24 digs, Kyleigh Kirk recorded 23 saves, Hayley Allison had 17 digs, Reagan Workman finished with 14 digs and 13 kills and Makaylynn Crabtree served 10 aces.
Mason County (17-10) will play their final five matches on the road beginning on Monday night at West Carter.
The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Lewis County Lady Lions 3-2 in eight innings on Monday in Vanceburg.
The Lady Royals scored both of their runs in the second inning. Reagan Workman drove in Reese Hardeman with a triple and scored on Claire Miller's RBI single for the Lady Royals who fell to 8-18.
Mason County will host Campbell County today at 6 p.m.
The Mason County Lady Royals allowed 10 runs in the first inning and lost to the East Jessamine Jaguars 12-1 in five innings on Friday in the Jerry Puckett Showcase in Winchester.
The Lady Royals trailed 12-0 before scoring their lone run in the top of the fifth inning. Reagan Workman reached base on an error, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on Kenzie Gulley's double to right field.
Mason County (8-15) will play two more games in the showcase today at George Rogers Clark: 12:45 vs. Taylor County and 2:30 vs. Pendleton County.
Sydney Ullery went 2 for 4 and drove in three runs as the Mason County Lady Royals snapped a five-game losing streak with an 8-7 victory over the Scott Lady Eagles on Wednesday at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.
Scott scored three runs in the first inning and led 4-0 in the middle of the third inning.
Mason County answered with five runs in the bottom of the third.
The Lady Eagles regained the lead with two runs in the sixth inning.
The Lady Royals rallied with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Scott loaded the bases with one out in the seventh inning and scored a run on a fielders choice. Mason County pitcher Delana Rigg got the next batter to fly out to give the Lady Royals their sixth win of the season.
Reagan Workman scored three runs and Kalyn Gallagher had two RBI and scored two runs.
Mason County will play the Fleming County Lady Panthers in Flemingsburg on Friday at 6 p.m.
Delana Rigg pitched a four-hitter and struck out 14 batters as the Mason County Lady Royals beat the Nicholas County Lady Jackets 10-0 in six innings on Friday in Carlisle.
Aubrey Gross had three hits and two RBI. Reese Hardeman had three hits and one RBI. Olivia Hughes, Karleigh Thomas and Reagan Workman each had two RBI.
Mason County (4-2) is scheduled to play three games in the Cal Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee next week.
Olivia Hughes had two hits with a triple and four RBI and got the win in the circle as the Mason County Lady Royals beat the visiting Elliott County Lady Lions 12-5 on Friday.
Hughes allowed seven hits and three walks for two earned runs while striking out two in picking up her 10th win of the season.
Kenzie Gulley went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs.
Reagan Workman hit a solo home run.
Mason County (11-7) will travel to Cynthiana on Monday to play the Harrison County Fillies.
Karleigh Thomas and Reagan Workman both hit a home run and the Mason County Lady Royals beat the Lewis County Lady Lions 5-2 on Saturday in the semifinals of the 13th Annual David Iery Classic at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.
Mason County pitcher Olivia Hughes was named Most Valuable Player of the game.
The Lady Royals lost to the Fleming County Lady Panthers 11-0 in five innings in the championship game.
Mason County (8-6) will play the Paris Lady Hounds in Paris on Monday.
