Logan Liles wins 33rd Laurel Oaks Classic

Logan Liles won the 33rd Laurel Oaks Classic on Sunday with a 36-hole total of 12-under 132.

Defending champion Corey Richmond finished second at 10 under.

Liles shot a 66 in each round. Richmond matched Liles' 66 in the first round and shot a 68 on Sunday.

Marcus Maloan finished third at 9 under. Dusty Kilgore and Logan Shepherd tied for fourth place at 6 under.

Corey Richmond wins the Laurel Oaks Classic for the fourth time

Corey Richmond is now a four-time champion of the Laurel Oaks Classic.

Richmond, who began the final round with a three-shot lead after firing an 11-under par 61 on Saturday, shot a 69 on Sunday to win the 32nd Laurel Oaks Classic at 14-under 130.

Brady South finished second at 9 under. Trey Cracraft and Randy Ross tied for third place at 7 under.

Richmond also won the tournament in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Deron Feldhaus is the only other golfer to win the Laurel Oaks Classic four times.

This year's tournament was presented by The Commonwealth Cup.

31st Laurel Oaks Classic this weekend

The 31st Laurel Oaks Classic, a 36-hole medal play tournament, is this weekend at Laurel Oaks Golf Course. 

Corey Richmond has won the tournament two years in a row and three times in the past four years.

The field will be placed into flights following the first round Saturday. "A" players will be in the Championship Flight and "B" players will be in the First Flight regardless of Saturday's scores.

Three-time champion Mark Moore will be honored at this year's tournament. He won the tournament in 1997, 1998 and 2014.

The public is invited to attend the tournament.

Corey Richmond wins Chippeways

Corey Richmond won the Chippeways golf tournament for the second time in three years.

Richmond defeated six-time champion Eric Schumacher 4 and 3 in the championship match of the 88th edition of the tournament Sunday afternoon at Maysville Country Club.

Earlier in the day in the semifinals, Richmond beat defending champion Logan Liles, and Schumacher defeated his son, Evan Schumacher.

Corey Richmond wins the Laurel Oaks Classic for the third time

Corey Richmond won the Laurel Oaks Classic for the second straight year and the third time in four years.

Richmond shot a 9-under 63 in the final round today for a 36-hole total of 14-under 130.

Logan Liles finished second at 13-under after shooting a 65 today.

Richmond and Liles were tied through 15 holes today. Richmond took the lead for good with a birdie on the par-3 16th. He birdied the last four holes.

Tyler Lippert finished third at 8-under.

30th Laurel Oaks Classic is this weekend

The 30th Laurel Oaks Classic, a 36-hole stroke-play tournament, takes place this weekend at Laurel Oaks Golf Course.

Corey Richmond is the defending champion. He also won the tournament in 2019.

The field will be flighted after Saturday's first-round. A shootout will be held Friday night.

2006 champion Bill O'Mara will be honored at this year's tournament.

2021 Maysville Match Play Championship canceled

The 2021 Maysville Match Play Championship at Laurel Oaks Golf Course, postponed last weekend, is now canceled.

One of the tournament organizers, Tyler Lippert, made the announcement in a post on The Commonwealth Cup's Facebook page.

"It is with great disappointment and sadness that we announce the Maysville Match Play Championship will not be occurring in 2021 due to scheduling conflicts with Laurel Oaks," Lippert wrote in the post. 

Corey Richmond won the 1st Maysville Match Play Championship last year.

Richmond and Walton win inaugural Maysville Country Club 2-Man Tournament

Corey Richmond and Tanner Walton teamed up to win the inaugural Maysville Country Club 2-Man Tournament last weekend.

Richmond and Walton had a 36-hole total of 25-under 119. They fired a 53 in the opening round.

Corey Richmond wins Laurel Oaks Classic for the second time in three years

Corey Richmond shot a 7-under 65 today and the won the Laurel Oaks Classic for the second time in three years.

Richmond had a 36-hole total of 16-under 128. BJ Knox finished second at 9-under, and Tad Barton took third place at 8-under.

Richmond, who won the Chippeways tournament at Maysville Country Club last month, shot a 33 on the front nine and 32 on the back nine today. He bogeyed No. 1 but finished the front nine with an eagle. He also had an eagle on No. 15.

2021 Maysville Match Play Championship is August 28-29 at Laurel Oaks Golf Course

The 2021 Maysville Match Play Championship is set for August 28 and 29 at Laurel Oaks Golf Course.

Corey Richmond is the defending champion.

Golfers will be pre-flighted based on handicap. The brackets will be drawn live at Laurel Oaks on Thursday, August 26.

The fee is $150 for non-members and $125 for members.

All golfers are guaranteed two rounds of golf.

Corey Richmond wins 86th Chippeways

Last year, Corey Richmond was the Chippeways runner-up. This year, Richmond is the Chippeways champion.

Richmond, a former West Union High School and Northern Kentucky University golfer, defeated three-time champion Jackson Frame in the championship match of the 86th Chippeways at Maysville Country Club today.

Earlier in the day in the semifinals, Richmond defeated six-time champion Eric Schumacher, and Frame beat Justin Lang.

This is the first Chippeways championship for Richmond.

Corey Richmond wins the Maysville Match Play Championship

Corey Richmond won the 1st Maysville Match Play Championship today at Laurel Oaks Golf Course. 

Richmond defeated Blake Evans in 19 holes in the championship match.

Earlier in the day in the semifinal matches, Richmond beat Brett Metzger and Evans defeated Craig Horton. 

Other flight winners include Lane Weaver in the First Flight,

Rick Adkins in the Second Flight and TR Routt in the Third Flight.

Richmond and Grooms win Laurel Oaks Two-Man Scramble

Corey Richmond and Troy Grooms won the Laurel Oaks Two-Man Scramble Sunday. They shot a 61 on Saturday and a 58 on Sunday for a two-day total of 25-under 119.

Jackson Frame and Tyler Lippert finished second, three shots back.
