Saints end season with an 80-71 loss to Bracken County

St. Patrick's season came to end tonight with an 80-71 loss to the Bracken County Polar Bears in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament at The Fieldhouse, but the Saints did not go down without a fight.

After trailing 43-28 in the third quarter, the Saints put together a rally. An old fashioned three-point play by Jack Gallenstein cut the Polar Bear's lead to 64-60 with 3:28 left in the game, but Bracken County answered with a 13-2 run to lead 77-62 with just under a minute to play. 

Riley Mastin led the Saints in scoring with 18 points. Pat McKay followed with 16 points, Braylon Hamilton tossed in 13 points and Gallenstein had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Bracken County was led by Kason Hinson with 24 points. Jhace Cummins scored 15 points. Travis Tucker followed with 13 points and Nathan Jefferson added 11 points.

Bracken County will play Mason County in the championship game Thursday night.

Saints lose to Villa Madonna, 72-70

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Villa Madonna Vikings 72-70 Friday night at The Shamrock in the final game of the regular season.

Riley Mastin led four Saints in double figures with 20 points. 
Jack Gallenstein tossed in 17 points, Jaylan Rigdon followed with 14 points and Pat McKay added 10 points.

St. Patrick plays Bracken County in the semifinals of the 10th Region Tournament Tuesday at 8 p.m. at The Fieldhouse.

Saints lose to Nicholas County

Pat McKay made six three-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points, but the St. Patrick Saints lost to the Nicholas County Bluejackets 88-55 tonight at The Shamrock.

The Saints trailed 53-23 at the half.

Jack Gallenstein scored 13 points.

St. Patrick hosts Villa Madonna Friday night.

Saints lose to Bellevue, 64-60

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Bellevue Tigers 64-60 tonight in Bellevue.

St. Patrick led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter, but was outscored 21-15 in the second quarter and 14-10 in the third quarter.

Three Saints scored in double figures. Jack Gallenstein led the way with 14 points, Pat McKay followed with 13 points and Jaylan Rigdon added 12 points.

St. Patrick is back in action Thursday night at home against the Nicholas County Bluejackets.

Saints play much better in 2nd loss to Berea in a week

A week after suffering a 34-point loss to the Berea Pirates in Berea, the St. Patrick Saints led 41-30 at halftime before losing to the Pirates 69-64 tonight at The Shamrock.

The Saints were outscored 18-12 in the third quarter and 21-11 in the fourth quarter.

Pat McKay made five three-pointers and and led St. Patrick in scoring with 21 points. Jaylan Ridgon and Riley Mastin followed with 14 points apiece. Jack Gallenstein added 10.

The Saints play the Bellevue Tigers Saturday night in Bellevue.

Libby Gallenstein scores 1,000th career point in Lady Saints' loss

St. Patrick junior Libby Gallenstein scored 16 points including her 1,000th career point in the Lady Saints' 54-35 loss to the Robertson County Lady Devils tonight at Robertson County.

The Lady Saints were outscored 24-10 in the fourth quarter. 

The Saints trailed 60-38 at the half and lost the Black Devils 101-57 in the second game of the girls and boys doubleheader.

Pat McKay led the Saints in scoring with 15 points. Jaylan Rigdon tossed in 11 points and Jack Gallenstein added 10 points.

Alex Schlach scored 27 points for the Black Devils.

The Lady Saints host St. Joseph Central Thursday night. 

The Saints are back in action Friday night at home against the Berea Pirates.

St. Patrick swept by Bracken County in girls and boys DH at The Shamrock

Nineteen days before the teams meet in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament, St. Patrick was swept by Bracken County in a girls and boys doubleheader tonight at The Shamrock.

The Lady Saints were outscored 17-6 in the fourth quarter of a 60-43 loss to the Lady Bears.

Kennedy Carl made 17-of-18 free throws and scored 19 points for Bracken County.

Makenna Roush and Libby Gallenstein were St. Patrick's leading scorers. Roush hit five three-pointers and scored 17 points. Gallenstein tossed in 13 points.

The Saints trailed by 16 points at halftime and were outscored by the Polar Bears 46-22 in the second half of a 78-38 loss.

Kason Hinson scored 24 points for the Polar Bears.

Pat McKay led St. Patrick in scoring with 11 points.

The Saints play the Berea Pirates in Berea Friday night.

The Lady Saints are back in action Saturday night on the road against the West Union Lady Dragons.

Saints lose to Lewis County, 79-35

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Lewis County Lions 79-35 Tuesday night in Vanceburg. 

The Saints trailed 49-17 at the half and were outscored 14-3 in the third quarter.

Pat McKay hit four three-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points for St. Patrick.

The Saints host Bracken County Thursday night.

Saints lose to St. Joseph Central, 87-52

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the St. Joseph Flyers 87-52 Friday night in Ironton, Ohio.

Jack Gallenstein led St. Patrick in scoring with 12 points. Jaylan Rigdon tossed in 11 points and Pat McKay added 10 points.

The Saints play the Lewis County Lions Tuesday night in Vanceburg.

St. Patrick swept by Augusta in girls and boys DH

St. Patrick and Augusta met for the third time this season Tuesday night and Augusta swept the girls and boys doubleheader at The Shamrock.

The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Saints 43-33.

Justina Klee led the Lady Saints in scoring with 13 points.

The Panthers topped the Saints 81-55.

Jack Gallenstein scored 15 points to lead four Saints in double figures. L.J. Connor followed with 12 points, Braylon Hamilton tossed in 11 points and Pat McKay added 10 points. 

Augusta won two of three girls' games and all three of the boys' games versus St. Patrick this season. The Lady Saints' win over the Lady Panthers was in the 10th Region All "A" Classic last week.
The two schools could meet again in the 39th District Tournament.

Saints lose to Augusta in 10th Region All "A" Classic

The St Patrick Saints lost to the Augusta Panthers 77-57 in the quarterfinal round of the 10th Region All "A" Classic tonight at Campbell County Middle School.

Jack Gallenstein led the Saints in scoring with 15 points and was named to the All-Tournament Team. L.J. Connor followed with 14 points and Pat McKay added 10 points.

Paul Muehlbauer was named to the All-Academic Team.

The Saints will host Augusta Tuesday night

Saints lose to Bishop Brossart, 96-56

The St. Patrick Saints trailed 19-2 at the end of the first quarter and lost to the Bishop Brossart Mustangs 96-56 tonight at The Shamrock.

Pat McKay hit four three-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points for St. Patrick.

The Saints play the Augusta Panthers Saturday afternoon in the 10th Region All "A" Classic at Campbell County Middle School.

Saints lose to Bishop Brossart and South Dearborn in Grant County Holiday Tournament

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Bishop Brossart Mustangs 73-21 Friday night and to South Dearborn, Indiana 87-46 today in the consolation bracket of the Grant County Holiday Tournament.

Pat McKay led the Saints in scoring Friday night with 12 points on four-three pointers.

Riley Mastin was St. Patrick's top scorer in today's game with 13 points.

The Saints host the Fairview Eagles on December 29.

McKay scores 31, but Saints lose to Ludlow

Pat McKay scored a career-high 31 points, but the St. Patrick Saints lost to the Ludlow Panthers 75-52 Tuesday night in Ludlow.

The Panthers led 32-10 at the end of the first quarter.

McKay was 13-of-20 from the field including 10-of-12 on two-pointers.

The Saints play the Holy Cross Indians Thursday night in the Grant County Holiday Tournament in Dry Ridge.

Saints fall to Polar Bears 83-54

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Bracken County Polar Bears 83-54 tonight at The Igloo in Brooksville.

Bracken County led 28-18 at the end of the first quarter and 52-35 at halftime.

Bracken County freshman Kason Hinson scored a game-high 20 points. Collin Jefferson followed with 19 points and Jhace Cummins added 16 points.

Riley Mastin led the Saints in scoring with 17 points. Paul Muehlbauer scored 11 points and Pat McKay added 10 points.

McKay and Mastin return, but Saints lose to Williamstown

St. Patrick guards Pat McKay and Riley Mastin returned to action after being sidelined with injuries, but the Saints lost to the Williamstown Demons 79-52 Friday night at The Shamrock.

McKay led the Saints in scoring with 14 points. Mastin tossed in 13 points and Jaylan Rigdon added 11 points.

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Hillsboro Indians 97-51 Saturday night in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Pat McKay made five three-pointers and scored 20 points for the Saints who fell to 0-3. 

St. Patrick plays the Holmes Bulldogs in Covington Tuesday night.

The St. Patrick Saints lost to the Dayton Greendevils 74-57 Friday night at Dayton.

Pat McKay scored a game-high 22 points for the Saints. Jack Gallenstein added 11 points.

St. Patrick plays the Hillsboro Indians tonight at 6:40 in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic in Hillsboro, Ohio.
