Nineteen days before the teams meet in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament, St. Patrick was swept by Bracken County in a girls and boys doubleheader tonight at The Shamrock.
The Lady Saints were outscored 17-6 in the fourth quarter of a 60-43 loss to the Lady Bears.
Kennedy Carl made 17-of-18 free throws and scored 19 points for Bracken County.
Makenna Roush and Libby Gallenstein were St. Patrick's leading scorers. Roush hit five three-pointers and scored 17 points. Gallenstein tossed in 13 points.
The Saints trailed by 16 points at halftime and were outscored by the Polar Bears 46-22 in the second half of a 78-38 loss.
Kason Hinson scored 24 points for the Polar Bears.
Pat McKay led St. Patrick in scoring with 11 points.
The Saints play the Berea Pirates in Berea Friday night.
The Lady Saints are back in action Saturday night on the road against the West Union Lady Dragons.
