The Mason County Lady Royals volleyball team's season came to an end with a 3-0 loss to the George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals on Monday night in the quarterfinal round of the 10th Region Tournament at GRC Arena in Winchester.
The set scores were 25-6, 25-14 and 25-10.
The Lady Royals finished the season with a 22-13 record.
The Mason County Lady Royals will play the George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals on Monday at 7:15 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the 10th Region volleyball tournament at George Rogers Clark Arena in Winchester.

The Bracken County Lady Bears won the 39th District volleyball tournament for the third straight year by defeating the Mason County Lady Royals 3-0 in the championship match on Thursday night at The Igoo in Brooksville.
The set scores were 25-10, 25-12 and 25-16.
The loss snapped Mason County's four-match winning streak.
Both teams advance to the 10th Region Tournament.
Mason County senior volleyball player Halle Pfeffer recorded her 1,000th career dig in the Lady Royals' victory over the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats on October 14.
Pfeffer had 40 digs in Mason County's five-set win over the Augusta Panthers on Tuesday night in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament and has 1,013 career digs going into the district championship game vs. the Bracken County Lady Bears tonight.

The Mason County Lady Royals and the Bracken County Lady Bears were winners in the semifinals of the 39th District volleyball tournament at The Igloo in Brooksville on Tuesday night.
Mason County rallied from a two sets to one deficit to beat the Augusta Lady Panthers in five sets.
The Lady Royals jumped out to an 11-3 lead and hung on to win the first set 25-22. Augusta won the second set 25-17 and the third set 25-8. Mason County bounced back to take the fourth set 25-16 and closed out the match by winning the fifth set 15-13.
Bracken County defeated the St. Patrick Lady Saints in straight sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-17).
St. Patrick ended the season with a 9-18 record. Augusta finished the season with a 13-9 record.
Mason County (22-11) and Bracken County (25-7) will meet in the championship match on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at The Igloo.
The 39th District volleyball tournament will be played at The Igloo at Bracken County on Tuesday and Thursday.

The St. Patrick Lady Saints volleyball team lost to the Newport Ladycats 2-1 on Wednesday night at The Shamrock.
St. Patrick (9-16) will close out the regular season on Thursday night at Dayton.
The St. Patrick and Mason County volleyball teams both posted wins on Tuesday night.
St. Patrick defeated Community Christian Academy 2-1. The Lady Saints (9-15) will host Newport on Wednesday night.
The Lady Royals ran their record to 21-11 and closed out the regular season with a 3-0 road win over the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats.
The set scores were 25-17, 25-15 and 25-20.

Mason County (20-11) will close out the regular season on Tuesday night in Falmouth vs. the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats.
The Mason County Lady Royals defeated the Robertson County Lady Devils two sets to one on Thursday night in Mt. Olivet.
Robertson County won the first set 26-24, but Mason County rebounded to win the second and third sets by identical scores of 25-18.
Kyleigh Kirk tallied 21 assists and 10 digs. Five other Lady Royals also had double-digit digs: Halle Pfeffer (22), Hayley Allison (14), Reagan Workman (12), Kennedy Bevins (10) and Mylie Padgett (10).
Workman and Padgett each had seven kills.
The Lady Royals (19-11) will travel to Grayson on Monday night to play the East Carter Lady Raiders.

Four Lady Royals had double digit digs: Reagan Workman with 24, Halle Pfeffer with 20, and Kennedy Bevins and Aaliyah Burns with 10 apiece. Kyleigh Kirk had 17 assists.
Mason County (18-11) will play at Robertson County on Thursday night.
St. Patrick lost to the Harrison County Fillies in Cynthiana. The set scores were 25-13, 25-4 and 25-16.

Mason County won the first set 25-23. West Carter won the second set 25-16 and the third set 25-22. The Lady Royals bounced back to take the fourth set 25-22 and closed out the match by winning the fifth set 17-15.
Makaylynn Crabtree had 11 kills and Kennedy Bevins had 10 digs and six service aces.
Mason County (18-10) will play the Augusta Lady Panthers in Augusta on Tuesday night.
Mia Neeley had 16 aces, Hope Comer dished out 14 assists and Ella Neeley finished with 14 digs to lead the St. Patrick Lady Saints to a 2-1 victory over the Robertson County Lady Devils on Thursday night at The Shamrock.
Robertson County won the first set 25-20. St. Patrick bounced back to win the second set 25-23 and dominated in the third set, winning 25-1.

Nicholas County won the first set 27-25. Mason County took the second set 25-21. The Lady Jackets won the third set 25-22. The Lady Royals won the fourth set 27-25 before Nicholas County closed out the match by winning the fifth set 15-11.
Halle Pfeffer had 24 digs, Kyleigh Kirk recorded 23 saves, Hayley Allison had 17 digs, Reagan Workman finished with 14 digs and 13 kills and Makaylynn Crabtree served 10 aces.
Mason County (17-10) will play their final five matches on the road beginning on Monday night at West Carter.
