Lady Royals Take 8th Place, Sarah Fite T11 at State

The Mason County Lady Royals finished in eighth place in the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Golf Championship- the girls' best finish in school history.

Mason County had a two-day total of +59 696 at Bowling Green Country Club. Madison Central won the state championship with a total of 629.

Mason County junior Sarah Fite shot a four-over 76 for the second straight day and tied for 11th place. Jordan Frodge shot an 82, Charity Arn a 94, Christian Arn a 95 and Erika Simms a 120.

Paducah Tilghman senior Terri Doss shot a three-under 69 for the second straight day and won the individual state championship by one shot over Madison Central senior Tristyn Nowlin.

Lady Royals T10 After 1st Round of Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Golf Championship

The Mason County Lady Royals are tied for 10th place after the first round of the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Golf Championship. Mason County had a total of 61-over 349 today at Bowling Green Country Club.. Madison Central and Paul Dunbar are tied for first place at 316. Mason County junior Sarah Fite shot a four-over 76 and is tied for 15th place, seven shots off the lead. Christian Arn carded an 82. Jordan Frodge shot a 91, Charity Arn a 100 and Erika Simms a 117. Mason Co. Girls Tee Times for Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac Golf Championship

Tee times are set for the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Girls Golf State Tournament at Bowling Green Country Club. A practice round is scheduled Thursday. The first round is Friday and the second round is Saturday. Mason County golfers will begin on No. 10. Here are the Lady Royals' tee times:

Sarah Fite Wins Region, Mason Co. Runner-up

Mason County junior Sarah Fite won the individual 8th Region golf tournament and Mason County was the runner-up in the team standings Tuesday at Houston Oaks Golf Course in Paris. Fite shot a 78. Mason County had a team score of 377. Scott County won the tournament with a 331 total. Both teams advance to the state tournament.

Lady Royals Beat Pendleton Co. at MCC on Senior Night

The Mason County girls golf team defeated Pendleton County 162-216 at Maysville Country Club on Senior Night. Sarah Fite led the Lady Royals with a two-under 35. Jordan Frodge followed with a 37. Senior Christian Arn, a member of the team for eight seasons, shot a 38. Charity Arn added a 52. The total of 162 is the team's lowest match score of the season. The Lady Royals, 6-0 in matches, close out the regular season Saturday at the West Jessamine Tournament.

Lady Royals Win Bourbon Co. Tournament at Houston Oaks

The Mason County Lady Royals won the Bourbon County Tournament at Houston Oaks Golf Course Saturday with their second lowest score of the season- 334. Sarah Fite won the individual championship with a one-under 72. Christian Arn took fourth place with an 83, Charity Arn was fifth with an 88 and Jordan Frodge was seventh with a 91. It was the Lady Royals' fourth win in 10 tournaments.

Lady Royals Win Tri-Match at Houston Oaks

The Mason County Lady Royals win a tri-match versus Bourbon County and Montgomery County Monday at Houston Oaks Golf Course in Paris. Mason County had a team total of 169 followed by Montgomery County with a 218 and Bourbon County at 223. Sarah Fite led the Lady Royals with a 38. Christian Arn shot a 46, Erika Simms a 47 and Jordan Frodge a 48. Mason County is undefeated in match play. The final match of the season is Monday versus Pendleton County on Senior Night.

Lady Royals 9th, Sarah Fite 2nd in Bowling Green Invitational

The Mason County Lady Royals finished 9th out of 20 teams, and Mason County junior Sarah Fite was the individual runner-up in the Bowling Green Invitational Tournament Saturday at Bowling Green Country Club, where the state tournament will be played next month. Fite fired an even par 72. Christian Arn shot an 88, Jordan Frodge a 98 and Charity Arn a 102.

Lady Royals Beat Pendleton County By 20 Shots

The Mason County Lady Royals, led by Sarah Fite's medalist score of 37, defeated the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats 180 to 200 today at Northern Kentucky Golf Club. Christian Arn shot a 42, Jordan Frodge a 49 and Charity Arn a 52.

Lady Royals Win Mason County Invitational at MCC

The Mason County Lady Royals won the Mason County Invitational by 24 shots over Ryle today at Maysville Country Club. Sarah Fite claimed medalist honors with a one-over 75. Christian Arn was the runner-up with a 78. Jordan Frodge shot an 88. Charity Arn followed with a 92. Erika Simms shot a 124.

Lady Royals Win the Montgomery County Tournament


 
 

The Mason County Lady Royals won the Montgomery County Tournament by 31 shots today at Indian Creek Golf Course in Mt. Sterling. Sarah Fite was the individual runner-up at four-over. Christian Arn shot an 83, Jordan Frodge an 86, Charity Arn a 97 and Erika Simms a 123.

Lady Royals 8th in Villa Madonna Invitational

The Mason County Lady Royals finished 8th out of 24 teams in the Villa Madonna Invitational Saturday at Kenton County Pioneer Golf Course in Independence. Sarah Fite was 10th out of 131 golfers with a 79. Christian Arn finished 19th with an 82. Jordan Frodge carded an 87 and Charity Arn shot a 95.

Lady Royals Set a School Record in 2nd Place Finish at Grant County

The Mason County Lady Royals shot a school-record 326 and finished second in the Grant County Tournament today. The old record was 328. Sarah Fite was the individual runner-up with an even par 72. Christian Arn took seventh place with a 77. Jordan Frodge carded an 85 and Charity Arn followed with a 91.

Mason Co. Lady Royals Win Pendleton County Invitational Tournament

The Mason County Lady Royals golf team posted a 40-shot season-opening win in the  Pendleton County Invitational Tournament. Sarah Fite was the medalist with a 77. Charity Arn shot an 84 to take third place. Christian Arn was sixth with an 86 and Jordan Frodge was seveneth with a 90.

Logan Hughes win boys' 11 and under Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship

Logan Hughes won the boys' 11 and under division of the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship. Hughes shot an 89 in the final round today for a 27-hole total of 139. Kevin Tobergate finished second at 143. Chandler Clark finished second in the boys' 16-18 division, five shots behind Jacob Vrolijk. Christian Arn was third in the Annika division, four shots behind Amy Pugliano. Complete results.

Chandler Clark finished 4th in NKy 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Event at Triple Crown CC

Chander Clark shot a seven-over 79 and took fourth place in the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Event Wednesday at Triple Crown Country Club in Union. He earned 125 tour points and is fourth on the points list in the boys' 16-18 division heading into the Tour Championship. Other local golfers who qualified for the Tour Championship include Christian Arn (Annika Division), Logan Hughes (11 & under) and Jordan Hughes (14-15),

Chandler Clark Wins Junior Chippeways

Chandler Clark won the boys' 16-18 division of the Junior Chippeways golf tournament Thursday at the Maysville Country Club. The tournament is now a part of the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour. Clark had a two-day total of five-over 149. B.J. Knox was second at 159. Hannah Scroggins won the girls' 16-18 division edging Amy Pugliano by two shots. Christian Arn was third and Charity Arn was fourth. Other division winners include:

Mason Co. Lady Royals Region 8 Runners-Up, Qualify for State, Fite Individual Champion

The Mason County Lady Royals were the runners-up in the Region 8 golf tournament Monday at Maysville Country Club and qualified for the Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac/KHSAA State Golf Tournament. Mason County sophomore Sarah Fite was the individual region champion with a two-over 76. Mason County junior Christian Arn was 7th with an 87. Scott County won the team title with a total of 334. Freshman Mallory Lovell led the Lady Cardinals with a 78. Mason County's total was 348.

Lady Royals finish 9th in state golf tournament

The Mason County Lady Royals finished 9th at the Leachman Buick & GMC/KHSAA Girls' State Golf Championship. The Lady Royals had a 364 team total in the second round today at Bowling Green Country Club. Mason County's two-day total was 724. Green County won its second straight state championship with a total of 667, 13 shots better than the runner-up, Sacred Heart. Tiara Harris led the Lady Royals today with an 89. Bridgit Morris shot a 91. Christian Arn and Lauren Vice had 92s. Christen Cropper shot a 97. The four lowest scores are used for the team total.

Lady Royals make the cut at the state tournament

The Mason County Lady Royals made the cut at the Leachman Buick & GMC/KHSAA Girls' State Golf Championships. The Lady Royals had a first round total of 360 today at Bowling Green Country Club and are tied for 11th place, 17 shots behind the leader, Green County. Only the top 12 teams advance to the second round on Wednesday. Lauren Vice led Mason County with an 88. Bridgit Morris followed with an 89. Christen Cropper shot a 90. Tiara Harris had a 93 and Christian Arn shot a 100. The four lowest scores are used for the team total.
