Breckenridge selected for all-star game, Buchanan as assistant

Mason County wide receiver and defensive back Terrence Breckenridge has been selected to play in the Best of the Bluegrass East vs. West All-Star Football Game Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Western Kentucky University. Breckenridge will play for the East team. Mason County Coach David Buchanan will be an assistant coach for the East squad.
"Terrence Breckenridge is an outstanding receiver and would have been
good enough to play in the Kentucky- Tennessee All Star Classic," Buchanan wrote in an e-mail message. "Chris Ullery has done a great job as his (wide receiver) coach and is a big part of this
recognition."
This is the second year for the all-star game. Richie Cox and Wylie Brace of Mason County played in the game last year.
Boyle County coach Larry French will be the head coach of the East team. Buchanan played for French at Mercer County.
"It will be a lot of fun to work with him again," Buchanan wrote in the e-mail. "We are both getting old- this might be our last shot at working together. I am looking forward to hanging out with my old coach for a week."
