Lofton scores 1,000th career point and leads Royals to victory over Augusta
Jaylen Lofton scored a game-high 18 points including his 1,000th career point and led the Mason County Royals to a 70-29 victory over the Augusta Panthers tonight at The Fieldhouse.
Mason County led 36-14 at the half and scored the first 17 points of the third quarter.
The Royals scored 29 points off the Panthers' 25 turnovers.
Augusta was without junior starter Sam Appelman (illness) and 8th grader Jushod Commodore (injury), a top sub.
Mason County will be back action December 28 against Frankfort in the opening game of the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County.
