Augusta pulls away from St. Patrick

The Augusta Panthers held off the upset minded St. Patrick Saints 62-50 tonight in a semifinal game of the boys 39th District tournament.

The Panthers routed the Saints 77-44 on February 12, but they didn't pull away in tonight's game until the closing minutes.

Augusta senior Connor Maddox scored a game-high 24 points. He was 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. Camryn Snapp added 22 points.'

Brennan Bauer led St. Patrick in scoring with 17 points. Ben Swolsky tossed in 10 points.

Augusta, with eight straight wins, advances to the championship game to play the winner of Tuesday night's semifinal game between Mason County and Bracken.

St. Patrick Sweeps DH vs. Silver Grove

St. Patrick swept a girls and boys doubleheader versus Silver Grove by lopsided scores at home tonight.

The Lady Saints jumped out to a 24-0 lead on the way to a 46-8 victory that snapped a nine-game losing streak.

The Saints ended the second quarter on a 24-5 run and scored the first 13 points of the third quarter in a 65-41 win over the Big Trains.

Justina Klee led all scorers in the girls' game with 10 points. Three Saints scored in double figures- Jakaar Frey with 13 points, Josh Walton 11 and Brennan Bauer 10.

Saints Snap Three-Game Skid with a 58-52 Win over Felicity-Franklin

Jakaar Frey scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the St. Patrick Saints to a 58-52 road win over Felicity-Franklin. The victory snapped the Saints' three-game losing streak.

Brennan Bauer scored 10 points. St. Patrick travels to Mt. Olivet Wednesday night to play the Roberson County Black Devils.

Swolsky and Frey Lead Saints Past Brown 61-24

Ben Swolsky and Jakaar Frey had double-doubles to lead St. Patrick to a 61-24 win over Brown tonight in Louisville.

Swolsky had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Frey had 13 points and 14 rebounds, It's his seventh double-double of the season. Brennan Bauer added 11 points
