Braxton Malone signs with Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg

Mason County senior Braxton Malone signed on Thursday to continue his academic and soccer careers at Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg.

Malone scored three goals and had two assists this past season. He had seven goals and eight assists his junior season and five goals and four assists his sophomore season.

Malone is also a member of the Mason County basketball team.

Royals beat Saints 79-18

Braxton Malone had a 14-point and 10-rebound double-double in the Mason County Royals' 79-18 victory over the St. Patrick Saints on Monday night at The Fieldhouse.

Cole Horch had 14 points and five rebounds, Braden Myrick followed with 12 points and Teegin Routt added 11 points for Mason County.

Abi Ignacio had 10 points and five rebounds for St. Patrick.

Royals defeat Saints 8-0 in semis of district soccer tournament

Six players scored at least one goal as the Mason County Royals shutout the St. Patrick Saints 8-0 Tuesday evening in the semifinals of the 38th District soccer tournament at Harrison County.

Alex Wood and Landen Lake each scored two goals. Wood also had an assist. Braxton Malone had a goal and an assist. Brandon Stamm, Kaedyn Gill and Noah Gardner each scored a goal. Carter Malone had an assist.

Goalkeeper Cade Pugh had five saves.

The championship game is Thursday at 7 p.m.
