Augusta sweeps St. Patrick in girls' and boys' DH

 Augusta swept a girls' and boys' doubleheader vs. St. Patrick on Friday night in Augusta.

Laci Tackett and Reagan Tackett each scored 20 points and Kenzington Hinson added 18 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 77-34 win over the Lady Saints. Laci Tackett grabbed the 500th rebound of her career.

Lillian Klee scored a game-high 21 points for St. Patrick.

The final score in the boys' game was 87-45.

Maddox Hesler led four Augusta players in double figures with 13 points. Keeton Bach scored 12 including his 1,000th career point. Will Kelsch followed with 11 and Noland Young tossed in 10.

Rudy Ignacio and Abi Ignacio each scored 13 points for St. Patrick.

The Lady Panthers (9-12) will host the Boone County Lady Rebels on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Hardwood Classic. 

The Lady Saints (3-14) will travel to Cynthiana on Tuesday night to play the Harrison County Fillies.

The Panthers (13-6) will host the Ryle Raiders on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in the Hardwood Classic.

The Saints (2-16) will travel to Frankfort on Saturday to play Frankfort Christian at 3:30 P.M.

St. Patrick swept by Augusta in 1/4 finals of 10th Region All "A" Classic

Both the St. Patrick Lady Saints and Saints were knocked out of the 10th Region All "A" Classic in quarterfinal round games on Monday night at The Shamrock.

The girls' game score was 81-30. The boys' game score was 82-51.

Kenzington Hinson scored a game-high 25 for Lady Panthers (6-8), while Laci Tackett followed with 19 and Reagan Tackett had 11.

Lillilian Klee led the Lady Saints (1-9) with 17 points.

Keeton Bach had a game-high 19 points for the Panthers (8-5) while Ross Carl scored 15, Will Kelsch 14, Noland Young 12 and Maddox Hesler 10.

Glenn Reed led the Saints (1-11) with 17 points, Amari Myrick followed with 14 and Abi Ignacio added 10.

Both the Augusta girls and boys advance to the semifinals to play Bishop Brossart at Robertson County. The boys' game is Tuesday night, the girls' game is on Wednesday.

The Lady Saints will travel to Vanceburg on Tuesday night to play the Lewis County Lions.

The Saints' next game is on Thursday night vs. Mason County at the Lady Royals Gym.

Royals cruise past Augusta 80-52

Braeden Myrick made six 3-pointers and scored 30 points to lead the Mason County Royals to an 80-52 win over the Augusta Panthers on Saturday at Augusta.

Mason County outscored Augusta 34-9 in the third quarter to lead 73-38.

The Royals shot 70.8% from the field in the second half and 56.9% for the game.

Myrick was 9-of-14 from the field including 6-of-9 from behind the arc. He made 6-of-8 free throws.

Garryon McClain scored a career-high 19 points and had five rebounds and four steals for Mason County. Cole Horch followed with 12 points and Nazir Metts added a career-high 11 points and pulled down five rebounds.

Keeton Bach scored 16 points for Augusta. Will Kelsch tossed in 12 points and Noland Young added 10.

Mason County (2-1) will host the Scott Eagles on Friday night in the Mike Murphy Classic.

Augusta (3-1) will be back in action on Tuesday night at Nicholas County.

Augusta sweeps St. Patrick in boys' and girls' DH

Augusta swept a boys' and girls' doubleheader vs. St. Patrick on Wednesday night at The Shamrock.

Noland Young scored 19 points and Will Kelsch scored 15 points to lead the Panthers to a 71-31 victory over the Saints.

Amari Myrick scored 14 points for the Saints.

Laci Tackett poured in 18 points to propel the Lady Panthers to a 52-27 win over the Lady Saints.

Lillian Klee was St. Patrick's leading scorer with 15 points.
