The Mason County Royals ran their winning streak to seven games with a 65-46 victory over the Augusta Panthers in the championship game of the 39th District Tournament at The Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
It is the Royals' ninth consecutive district championship.
Teegin Routt and Braeden Myrick each scored 16 points and Nazir Metts had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double for Mason County (16-13).
Augusta (18-10) was led in scoring by Keeton Bach with 16 points. Noland Young added 10 points.
Mason County led 26-13 at halftime. Augusta closed to within five at 37-32 in the third quarter, but the Royals closed the quarter on a 6-2 run with Cole Horch hitting a buzzer-beater that was initially waved off. The officials had a conference and changed the call.
The Royals led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Both teams move on to the 10th Region Tournament at Montgomery County.
