Pollitt first, Royals 4th at Mason County NASP®/IBO 3D Winterfest Challenge

Mason County sophomore Bryce Pollitt was the top individual archer at the Mason County NASP®/IBO 3D Winterfest Challenge on Saturday.

Pollitt had a score of 284 with 16 Tens and edged Fleming County sophomore Logan Darnell by one point. Darnell had 17 Tens.

Pendleton County won the team title with a score of 1,588. Mason County finished fourth with a team score of 1,527.

The Royals will compete in the Bourbon Co. Bullseye and 3D Tournament this Saturday.

Mason County High School archery team 63rd in NASP state tournament, Mason County 47th in middle school tourney

The Mason County High School archery team finished 63rd out of 115 teams at the National Archery in Schools state tournament in Louisville. That's one spot higher than last year. 

Addison Grosser was 31st in high school girls and sixth in ninth grade girls with a score of 286. She had 19 Tens. 

Jacob Brown was 63rd in high school boys and 17th in 11th grade boys. He had a score of 285 with 15 Tens.

The Mason County Middle School team finished 47th out of 101 teams and was led by Logan Darnell and Lanie Forsythe.

Darnell had a score of 279 with 16 Tens. Forsythe had a score of 269 with 10 Tens.
