Saints fall to Calvary Christian 63-36 in the 10th Region All "A" Classic semis

Calvary Christian seniors Nick Ruwe and Ethan Mulling combined for 55 points to lead the Cougars to a 63-36 victory over the St. Patrick Saints in the semifinals of the 10th Region All "A" Classic tonight at Bracken County.

Ruwe poured in 32 points and Mulling followed with 23 points.

Calvary Christian outscored St. Patrick 34-17 in the second half to advance to Thursday night's championship game against the winner of Tuesday night's semifinal game between Bishop Brossart and Bracken County.

St. Patrick (2-12) was led in scoring by Chase Walton with 19 points.

The Saints are back in action Tuesday night at Manchester.

Chase Walton scores 30 points including his 1,000th career point in St. Patrick's loss to Paris

St. Patrick senior Chase Walton scored 30 points including his 1,000th career point in the Saints' 70-53 road loss to the Paris Greyhounds tonight. 

Caleb Poczatek added 11 points for St. Patrick.

A fast start propels Polar Bears past Saints 81-49

The Bracken County Polar Bears led 27-4 at the end of the first quarter and defeated the St. Patrick Saints 81-49 in a semifinal game of the 39th District Tournament at The Fieldhouse tonight.

Bracken County scored 28 points off St. Patrick's 21 turnovers.

Devante Jefferson led the Polar Bears in scoring with 16 points. Blake Reed added 15 points.

St. Patrick junior Braxton Swanger was 5-of-5 on 3-pointers and had a game-high 17 points. Chase Walton had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Saints. Allan Briseno followed with 10 points

Bracken County will play Mason County in the district championship game Thursday night.
