The Mason County Lady Royals snapped a two-game losing streak with a 50-31 victory over the Nicholas County Lady Jackets this afternoon in Carlisle.
After trailing 10-8 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Royals outscored the Lady Jackets 19-9 in the second quarter and 13-4 in the third quarter.
Victoria Brooks had a game-high 15 points for Mason County.
Emma Taylor added 12 points.
The Lady Royals play the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats in the opening round of the Kentucky 2A Championships Monday at 6 p,m, in Falmouth.
