Lady Royals beat Holy Cross for 20th win of the season

Kenzie Gulley and Kylah Turner each drove in a run and the Mason County Lady Royals edged the Holy Cross Lady Indians 2-1 on Friday at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.

Mason County ends the regular season with a 20-12 record.

The Lady Royals will play the Augusta Lady Panthers on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament at Bracken County Middle School.

Lady Royals lose to Russell 10-2

The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the visiting Russell Lady Red Devils 10-2 on Thursday.

The score was 4-2 after five innings before Russell pulled away with four runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh.

Kylah Turner hit an RBI double and a solo home run for the Lady Royals.

Mason County (19-12) will close out the regular season on Friday at home vs. Holy Cross. Game time is 6 p.m.

Lady Royals fall to Bourbon County 10-3

The Bourbon County Lady Colonels scored seven runs in the fifth inning and beat the Mason County Lady Royals 10-3 on Friday at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.

Kylah Turner and Sydney Ullery each drove in a run for the Lady Royals who fell to 18-10.

Mason County will host the Campbell County Lady Camels on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Lady Royals beat Nicholas County and Calvary Christian in Keith Carver Classic

The Mason County Lady Royals defeated the Nicholas County Lady Jackets 6-4 and the Calvary Christian Lady Cougars 11-1 in five innings in the Keith Carver Classic on Saturday at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club.

Kylah Turner's two-run double in the sixth inning broke a 4-4 tie in the first game. 

Kenzie Gulley went 3-for-4 with a single, a double and a triple and drove in three runs and scored three runs.

Reese Hardeman also had three hits and drove in a run.

Olivia Hughes picked up her 13th win. She struck out six while walking one and allowing seven hits.

Mason County scored eight runs in the third inning in the victory over Calvary Christian.

Ayslee Crabtree scored three runs.

Sydney Ullery went 2-for-2 including a triple and had two RBI.

Taylynn Sapp and Delana Rigg combined for a two-hitter.

The Lady Royals have won a season-high four straight games to run their record to 15-8.

Their next five games are on the road beginning Tuesday at Scott.

Lady Royals fall to Pendleton County

The Mason County Lady Royals outhit the Pendleton County LadyCats 9-6, but lost 7-5 at home on Tuesday.

Kenzie Gulley went 3-for-4, drove in a run and scored a run.

Kylah Turner had two RBI.

Mason County (9-7) will play at Augusta on Thursday.

Lady Royals run-rule Paris

Kenzie Gulley went  4-for-4 with two singles and two triples, drove in two runs and scored three runs to help the Mason County Lady Royals beat the Paris Lady Hounds 17-4 in four innings on Monday at Paris.

Kylah Turner had three singles and two RBI and scored three runs.

The Lady Royals had two big innings — scoring eight runs in the first inning and six runs in the fourth inning.

Mason County (9-6) will host the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats on Tuesday.

Lady Royals rout Calvary Christian 18-0 in four innings

Kylah Turner went 3 for 5 with two singles, a double and four RBI and the Mason County Royals routed the Calvary Christian Lady Cougars 18-0 in four innings on Saturday at Calvary Christian.

Olivia Hughes and Marcella Gifford combined on a one-hitter.

Mason County (5-3) will play in the Cal Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN on Tuesday and Thursday.

Lady Royals defeat Bishop Brossart 9-4

Olivia Hughes and Kylah Turner each drove in three runs to lead the Mason County Lady Royals to a 9-4 win over the Bishop Brossart Lady Mustangs on Tuesday in Alexandria.

Hughes struck out five while allowing three walks and seven hits in recording her third win of the season.

The Lady Royals have scored nine or more runs in each of their four wins.

Mason County (4-2) will host the Bath County Lady Wildcats Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Kentucky 2A Championships Section 6 Tournament.

Lady Royals beat Nicholas County 9-6 in eight innings

The Mason County Lady Royals snapped a two-game losing skid with a 9-6 victory over the Nicholas County Lady Jackets in eight innings on Friday in Carlisle.

Kenzie Gulley had a double, two triples and scored three runs. 

Kylah Turner drove in three runs. 

Destiny Dow went 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored three runs. 

Marcella Gifford had two RBI.

Olivia Hughes pitched a complete game. She struck out six and allowed six hits and four walks. Three of Nicholas County's six runs were unearned. Hughes also drove in a run.

Mason County (3-2) will travel to Alexandria on Tuesday to play Bishop Brossart.

Lady Royals run-ruled by Campbell County

The Mason County Lady Royals were outhit 15-5 by the Campbell County Lady Camels and lost 16-2 in five innings on Wednesday in Claryville.

Kylah Turner and Marcella Gifford each had an RBI.

Mason County (2-2) will be back in action on Friday at Nicholas County.

Lady Royals run-rule GRC is six innings

The Mason County Lady Royals ran their record to 2-0 with a 14-4 victory over the George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals in six innings on Wednesday in Winchester. Kenzie Gulley went 3-for-4 and scored four runs and Kylah Turner hit a home run, had two RBI and scored three runs. 

Olivia Hughes gave up nine hits, struck out two and walked three in recording her first win of the season. Only two of GRC's four runs were earned.

Mason County will host the Montgomery County Lady Indians today at 6 p.m.

Lady Royals' winning streak snapped by a 24-6 loss to Bath County

The Mason County Lady Royals' three-game winning streak came to a halt with a 24-6 loss to the Bath County Lady Wildcats in six innings Monday.

Mason County pitchers walked nine batters and did not have any strikeouts. The Lady Royals committed eight turnovers.

Reese Hardeman and Kylah Turner each had two hits. Hardeman had two RBI.

The Lady Royals (13-13)  are off today. They will host Elliott County Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Lady Royals beat West Carter 12-5, host Keith Carver Classic today

The Mason County Lady Royals snapped a two-game losing streak with a 12-5 victory over the West Carter Lady Comets Friday.

Shelby Thompson, Kenzie Gulley and Kylah Turner had two RBI each. 

Marcella Gifford threw a five-hitter striking out six and walking six.

Mason County (11-12) will host the Keith Carver Classic today. Here is the schedule:
