Trey Cracraft T6 in River Cities Conference Tournament and earns All-Conference honors

Trey Cracraft finished in a three-way tie for sixth place in the River Cities Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament to earn First-Team All-Conference honors.

Cracraft, a sophomore from Maysville, had rounds of 76, 76 and 74 at The Resort at Glass Springs in Daniels, West Virginia to help the Bears to finish seventh as a team.

Cracraft finished just six shots behind the champion and only two shots behind the third-place finisher.

Logan Hughes, a junior from Flemingsburg, finished in a tie for 29th place.

Jake O'Mara and Eric Schumacher win Maysville Country Club 2-Man Tournament

Jake O'Mara and Eric Schumacher won the Maysville Country Club 2-Man Tournament Sunday with a 36-hole scored of 27-under 117.

O'Mara and Schumacher shot a 58 Saturday and a 59 Sunday.

Logan Hughes and Jordan Hughes were second at 25 under, and Mark Moore and Logan Liles finished third at 22 under.

The other flight winners include:

T1 Rodney Tolle and Bradley Litzinger, 9 under
T1 Russell Rigg and Jeremy Hook, 9 under

Liles, Shepherd, Butler and Littleton named to All-Region golf teams

Several area golfers have been named to the All-Region 12 teams by the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association.

Lewis County junior Logan Liles is the Region 12 Player of the Year. Other area golfers on the All-Region Team include: Mason County juniors Logan Shepherd and Mason Butler and Fleming County junior Logan Hughes.

Mason County sophomore Macey Littleton was named to the girls' All-Region Team.

Mason County boys golf team wins region

The Mason County boys' golf team won the Region 12 tournament today to qualify for the state tournament for the first time since 2015.

The Royals had a team score of 315 at Eagle Trace Golf Course in Morehead. Montgomery County was the runner-up at 322. Only the region team champion and the top seven individuals not on the winning team advance to the state tournament.

Logan Shepherd led Mason County with a 4-over 76 and finished fifth in the individual standings. Mason Butler and Kaden Grooms both shot 77s. Zack Ring followed with an 85 and Evan Schumacher carded a 91. The top four scores are used in the team total. 

Lewis County junior Logan Liles and Fleming County junior Logan Hughes both are individual qualifiers for the state tournament. 

The Leachman GMC-Buick-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys' State Golf Championship is scheduled October 6 and 7 at Bowling Green Country Club.

Area golfers miss the cut at state tournament

Mason County's Evan Schumacher and Logan Shepherd both shot 12-over 84s today at Bowling Green Country Club and missed the cut at the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys State Golf Championships.

Schumacher and Shepherd were individual qualifiers.

Fleming County sophomore Logan Hughes, also an individual qualifier, shot an 83 and missed the cut.

Logan Hughes win boys' 11 and under Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship

Logan Hughes won the boys' 11 and under division of the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship. Hughes shot an 89 in the final round today for a 27-hole total of 139. Kevin Tobergate finished second at 143. Chandler Clark finished second in the boys' 16-18 division, five shots behind Jacob Vrolijk. Christian Arn was third in the Annika division, four shots behind Amy Pugliano. Complete results.

Clark and Hughes in 2nd place after Day One of N KY 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship

Chandler Clark is in second place in the boys' 16-18 division and Logan Hughes is in second place in the boys' 11 and under division after the first day of the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Championship at Lassing Pointe. Clark shot an 82 and trails Chandler McMahan by four shots. Hughes shot a 50 for nine holes and is just one shot behind Joel Craft. Christian Arn shot a 94 and is in third place, 11 shots back, in the Annika Division. Jordan Hughes shot an 85 and missed the cut in the boys' 14-15 division. The final round is Tuesday.

Chandler Clark finished 4th in NKy 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Event at Triple Crown CC

Chander Clark shot a seven-over 79 and took fourth place in the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Golf Tour Event Wednesday at Triple Crown Country Club in Union. He earned 125 tour points and is fourth on the points list in the boys' 16-18 division heading into the Tour Championship. Other local golfers who qualified for the Tour Championship include Christian Arn (Annika Division), Logan Hughes (11 & under) and Jordan Hughes (14-15),

B.J. Knox Wins Bryan Conway Memorial Junior Golf Tournament Again

B.J. Knox won the boys' 15-16 division of the Bryan Conway Memorial Junior Golf Tournament for the second straight year at Kenton Station Golf Course today. Knox, a rising junior at Mason County High School, shot a three-over 73 to edge Dylan Phillips and Jordan Hughes by one shot. Phillips won a playoff to take second place. Grace Kiskaden won the girls' 15-16 division. Other age division winners include:
