"March Mayhem" set for March 15 at Laurel Oaks Golf Course

"March Mayhem," a new event sponsored by Commonwealth Golf Association, is scheduled on March 15 at Laurel Oaks Golf Course.

The 4-man team, 18-hole tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

The format is a scramble on the front nine and best ball on the back nine (take two scores).

There is a maximum of one pro per team.

All pros and other golfers age 59 and under will play from the blue tees, age 60 and over will play from the white tees, and women will play from the gold tees.

The entry fee is $600 per team.

There will be cash payouts for the three lowest scores for the front nine, back nine and total score.

The field is limited to the first 24 paid teams.
