A 66-52 loss to the Holy Cross Indians on Friday night in Covington dropped the Mason County Royals below .500 for the first time this season.
Holy Cross (11-7) led 33-21 at halftime and led by as many as 27 points in the third quarter in handing the Royals their third straight loss.
Garryon McClain led Mason County in scoring with 19 points. Braeden Myrick added 17 points.
The Royals (9-10) will host the Indian Hill Braves on Saturday night.
