Here are a few local sports notes for Monday:
- The Mason County Royals will host the North Adams Green Devils in their final preseason scrimmage on Tuesday. The junior varsity scrimmage is at 5:30 followed by the varsity scrimmage at 7:30.
- The Mason County Lady Royals will wrap up preseason play with a scrimmage vs. the Boyd County Lady Lions at East Carter on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
- The high school basketball season begins a week from tonight.
- Mason County senior quarterback Teegin Routt finished the season with 2,339 passing yards, 27 touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns. Routt ended up with 35 career touchdown passes, the fifth most in Mason County football history.
- The Maysville Miners have an online shop for team merchandise.
