Royals run winning streak to four games with a 35-6 road win over Grant County

Joey Staggs rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns and Teegin Routt passed for 173 yards and two touchdowns as the Mason County Royals ran their winning streak to a season-high four games with a 35-6 victory over the Grant County Braves on Thursday night in Dry Ridge.

On the third play of the game, Staggs ran 63 yards for a touchdown. Just over four minutes later, Staggs ran 10 yards for a touchdown.

Routt threw two touchdown passes to Jamarion Bluford in the second quarter.

Hayden Horn had a one-yard touchdown run and a conversion run with 3:04 left in the third quarter and the rest of the game was played with a running clock.

Mason County is 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the district. The Royals will close out district play next week vs. Covington Catholic in Park Hills.
