Royals among Class 4A football statistics leaders

The Kentucky High School Athletics Association has released the first football statistics reports of the season.

Several Mason County Royals are listed among the Class 4A report:

• Teegin Routt is fourth in passing yards per game (250) 
• Micah Payne is tied for fifth in PATs per game (4.3)
• Cole Horch is eighth in receiving yards per game (250) and 31st in points scored per game (8.7)
• Garryon McClain is 23rd in receiving yards per game (170)
• Jamarion Bluford is 40th in receiving yards per game (137)
• Bryce Moran is 47th in points scored per game (6.7)
• Will Dotson, Joey Staggs and K'vaughn Young are tied for sixth in forced fumbles (1)
• Payne and Moran are tied for third in interceptions (2)

In team stats, Mason County is first in team interceptions (2.7 ipg), second in pass defense (57 ypg), fifth in team passing (256 ypg), ninth in offense (39.7ppg), seventh in fumbles forced (3), 10th in rushing defense (104 ypg), 11th in scoring margin (23.7 ppg), 16th in defense for points allowed per game (16).
