GRC and Campbell County advance in boys 10th Region Tournament

The George Rogers Clark Cardinals and the Campbell County Camels posted lopsided wins on Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the 10th Region Tournament at The Fieldhouse and will meet in the semifinals on Monday night.

George Rogers Clark 74, Pendleton County 51

Rashaun Hampton scored 21 points and Breland Morrison followed with 19 to lead GRC to its 30th win of the season.

Austin Kirsch led Pendleton County with 12 points and Alex Beyst and Aden Merrill scored 10 points apiece.

Campbell County shot 52.8 percent from the field and made 14 3-pointers in running their winning streak to 10 games.

Xavier Fancher made five 3-pointers and scored 23 points off the bench to lead the Camels. Jayden Augsback was 5-of-5 from beyond the arc and scored 15 points off the bench. Garyn Jackson tossed in 13 points and Connor Weinel had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Noah Nelson made three 3-pointers and led Bracken County with 17 points. Chase Archibald also made three treys and scored 15 points.
