Centre College freshman Riley Mastin is the Southern Athletic Association Player of the Week.
Mastin, a 2023 graduate of Mason County High School, scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Colonels' 79-71 loss to Hendrix on Friday night. Then on Sunday, he had another career-high scoring performance with 33 points while pulling down 12 rebounds in Centre's 72-63 victory over Rhodes.
For the season, Mastin is averaging 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds a game while shooting 55.7 percent from field, 33.3 percent from 3-point range and 85.3 percent from the free throw line.
Centre will be back in action Friday night at home vs. Birmingham-Southern.
