Mason County finished fifth in the KHSAA Region 7 archery tournament, but two Royals — sophomore Bryce Pollitt and eighth grader Dillon Mitchell — qualified for the state tournament by finishing second and third respectively.
Pollitt shot a 291, just a point behind region champion Gannon Crump of Harrison County. Pollitt had 22 Tens.
Mitchell shot a 290 with 21 Tens.
The Royals finished with a team score of 1885. Harrison County won the region with a team score of 1983. Fleming County was the runner-up at 1905.
