The Mason County girls' and boys' track and field teams opened the outdoor season on Saturday with a sweep of the Bracken County Border Clash.
The Lady Royals finished with 262 points. The Bracken County Lady Bears took second place with 111 points.
The Royals won with 263 points. The Harrison County Thorobreds were the runners-up with 158 points.
First place finishes by Mason County athletes include:
- Lexi Young, the girls' 100 meter dash (12.60), the girls' 200 meter dash (26.45), the girls' high jump (4-08.00) and the girls' long jump (17-08.50)
- CJ Arthur, the boys' 100 meter dash (11.49) and the boys' 200 meter dash (24.28)
