An eight-RBI game is a fairly rare occurrence, but two local high school softball players — St. Patrick senior Makenna Roush and Mason County senior Kennadi Kirk — sophomore Bryce Pollitt and eighth grader Dillon Mitchell — pulled it off on the same day last week.
On Thursday, Roush went 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run and eight-RBI in the Lady Saints' 18-1 win over the Augusta Lady Panthers in three innings.
Roush also pitched and threw a two-hitter and struck out six.
On the same day, Kirk went 4-for-5 with two home runs and eight RBI in the Lady Royals' 11-10 loss to the Bath County Wildcats.
