After suffering their first loss of the season on Monday, falling to the Campbell County Camels 4-0, the Mason County Royals had a dramatic bounce-back victory Tuesday evening.
Cray Fite doubled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 5-4 walk-off win over the Nicholas County Bluejackets.
Fite hit his second home run of the season earlier in the game.
Mason County (5-1) plays at Pendleton County today at 5:30.
The Mason County Lady Royals snapped a two-game losing streak with a 19-3 victory over the West Carter Lady Comets in six innings.
Delana Rigg was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with five RBI. Marcella Gifford went 4-for-5 with four RBI and pitched a three hitter, striking out eight and walking two.
The Lady Royals (4-4) play at Nicholas County today at 6 p.m.
