Local sports notes
There are not many local sports notes during the COVID-19 pandemic, but here are a couple:
- St. Patrick senior Justina Klee has committed to Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg. Klee averaged 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds a game this past season. She is a member of the Lady Saints' 1,000 point club.
- The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced Thursday that 2020 state tournaments for basketball, wrestling and ice hockey have been moved from postponed to canceled.
- This isn't a local sports note, but I was saddened to see where Harlem Globetrotters legend Curly Neal died. Neal was known for his fancy dribbling skills. Every time a player slipped and kept his dribble when I was calling games, I would say the player looked like Curly Neal.
