Royals host Scott in region 1/4 finals

Mason County will be looking to avenge a 13-point regular season loss to Scott when the Royals host the Eagles tonight at 7:30 in the quarterfinal round of the 10th Region Tournament.

Scott senior guard Jake Ohmer, the KABC 10th Region Player of the Year, scored 41 points in the Eagles' 85-72 victory over the Royals in Taylor Mill on December 9.

Ohmer was 6-of-6 on three-pointers including a three-quarter court short at the end of the first quarter. 

His younger brother, Chad Ohmer, scored 18 of his 20 points in the first half.

Leevi Dunaway was Mason County's leading scorer in the game with 21 points.

The game was not as close as the final score indicated. Scott led 50-28 at halftime and 66-42 at the end of the third quarter.

Scott scored 19 points off Mason County's 22 turnovers

The first game tonight at 6 o'clock pits the Paris Greyhounds against the Robertson County Black Devils.
