Mason County junior Treg Setty verbally committed to Southern Illinois University today. Setty, a 6-8 forward, averaged 13 points a game for the Royals this past season. "I just love the way they treat me," Setty wrote in a text message. "They make me feel like family and I will feel comfortable." Southern Illinois is a Division I school located in Carbondale. The Salukis play in the Missouri Valley Conference. Southern Illinois made six straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament from 2002 to 2007. Chris Lowery has been the Salukis' head coach for six seasons. Setty also had offers from Miami of Ohio and Ohio University.
