Coach Bob Hall passes away

Coach Bob Hall, a 10th Region icon, died early this morning after a battle with cancer. Hall was the boys' varsity basketball coach at Minerva, Fleming County, Maysville, Burgin and Bracken County. He was an assistant coach at Mason County in the 1960's. Hall guided two teams to the state tournament- Fleming County in 1974 and Maysville in 1978. Hall played amateur baseball with pitcher Woodie Fryman, who went on to play in the major leagues. Hall is a member of the Boys' 10th Region Basketball Hall of Fame. After his retirement, Hall followed the Mason County football and basketball teams home and away. His illness kept him away from this year's tournaments. Hall was an outstanding coach and an even better man. Coach you will be missed.
