The Mason County Royals jumped out a 10-0 lead on their way to a 77-42 victory over the Montgomery County Indians. Mason County was up 25-8 at the end of the first quarter and led by as many as 41 points in the fourth quarter. Mason County hit 13 three-pointers and had 17 assists in the game. Russ Middleton and Treg Setty scored 12 points apiece for Mason County. Montgomery County star Brandon Rash only played one quarter. He's been bothered by a sprained ankle. With the victory, Chris O'Hearn moved past Fred Hester into fourth place on the Royals' coaches' win list with 128. Mason County plays Augusta in the 39th District tournament Monday at 8 p.m. at The Fieldhouse.
