Royals beat Saints 93-41 for boys' district title

The Mason County Royals defeated the St. Patrick Saints 93-41 in the championship game of the boys' 39th District Tournament tonight at The Fieldhouse. St. Patrick scored a couple of quick baskets to lead 4-0, but went almost 10 and a half minutes before getting another field goal. The Saints only had 11 field goals in the game. Justin Lang and Ryne King both had career-highs to lead Mason County. Lang scored 14 points (11 in the second quarter), and King hit his first four three-point shots and scored 13 points. Stephen Mason led St. Patrick with 10 points. Both teams advance to the boys' 10th Region tournament. All four first round games will be played on Saturday, March 7th at the Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University.
