Punk Griffin Remembered at Sweet 16

A moment of silence was observed in memory of the late Arthur "Punk" Griffin prior to the Mason County vs. Elliott County game in the National City/KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16 tonight.
Griffin, the longtime scorekeeper for the Maysville Bulldogs and a fixture at the state tournament died in January. Griffin attended the Sweet 16 every year since Maysville won the state tournament in 1947. A spot on press row in the end zone remains vacant in Griffin's honor.
Griffin's photo (above) was shown on the big screen at Rupp Arena.
