The Mason County Royals used a big second half to defeat the Madison Central Indians
66-58 tonight in the second game of the Spectrum Graphx River City Classic at The Fieldhouse. Mason County led by eight points early in the game, but trailed by seven in the second quarter. Madison Central was up 30-25 at halftime. The Royals outscored the Indians 18-10 in the third quarter, and opened the fourth quarter on an 18-5 run to lead 61-45. Mason County shot 72.7% from the field in the second half.
Darius Miller had a game-high 22 points. His one-handed dunk on a back door play gave the Royals the lead for good at 39-38 with 2:32 to go in the third quarter.
Brad Pawsat scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Trevor Setty added 13 points. Russell County beat Bracken County 82-46 in the first game.
