St. Patrick senior Colin Faris had the fastest time in the 50 yard freestyle and was third fastest in the 100 yard freestyle today in the preliminaries in the state swimming meet in Louisville.
Faris had a time of a 21.13 in the 50, and a time of 47.54 in the 100. Deming sophomore Amanda Miller had the eighth fastest time in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.45, and was 12th fastest in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.28. The finals are Saturday-the girls' at 9 a.m. and the boys' at 3 p.m.
