Montgomery County Indians coach Bart Rison wore an orange Tennessee shirt at the game against Mason County Friday night at The Fieldhouse to show his support for Chris Lofton. He talked it about on the pre-game interview.
"Well, I guess it would be an understatement to say that to me, Chris Lofton epitomizes what a college athlete is on the floor, off the floor, in the classroom," Rison said. "I've always been a big fan of his. Out here in [2002],(Rison chuckles) he kept a pretty good team we had when he was a sophomore from making it to the state tournament."
Rison said he likes the way Lofton handles himself. "He's made me a big fan of Tennessee basketball," Rison said, "and naturally, you know, I hope his ankle gets alright; I hope he gets to play Sunday [against Kentucky]."
