UC loses Big East Opener, Grutza Throw for 189 Yards

The Cincinnati Bearcats lost to Pittsburgh 33-15 in their Big East opener in prime time on ESPN2. I taped the game and watched it this morning. In my mind, Dustin Grutza has to be the full-time quarterback for the Bearcats. He completed 21 of 35 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. Grutza's numbers would be even better if the receivers would quit dropping very catchable passes. Grutza completed seven consecutive passes on the second scoring drive and completed a conversion pass.
He did throw two interceptions. Senior quarterback Nick Davila completed four of five passes for 32 yards. Cincinnati plays at Ohio State a week from today.
