The Mason County Lady Royals qualified for the first round of the state golf tournament by finishing as the runner-up at the Region 12 Tournament on Monday at Eagle Trace Golf Course in Morehead.
The Montgomery County Lady Indians won the region championship with a team of score 331.
Mason County finished with a score of 386, edging the Boyd County Lady Lions by two shots.
Only the champion and runner-up advance to the first round of the state tournament.
Sydney Ullery led the Lady Royals with an 87 followed by Bentley Shepherd (90), Olivia Hughes (102), Amirah Reed (107) and Taylor Schroer (121).
The top four scores are used for the team total.
The first round of the state tournament will be played on Monday at Winchester Country Club.
