Miracle League of Buffalo Trace holds a community meeting

 

The Miracle League of Buffalo Trace held a community meeting Tuesday night at Comprehend, Inc.

A baseball/soccer field for children and adults with disabilities is planned at the Limestone Family YMCA. 

A video of the meeting is posted on the Miracle League of Buffalo Trace Facebook page. 

Here are some of the numbers presented at Tuesday night's meeting:

• 18% of citizens in the Buffalo Trace region have a disability

• $750,000 is needed to complete Phase One that includes an inclusive baseball/softball complex

• 70 miles to the closest inclusive complex of this kind

• $1,250,000 needed to complete the project, including an inclusive playground and park amenities

• 2,000 potential families to be served in the Buffalo Trace region
