Braeden Myrick scored 19 points and Cole Horch had 14 points and 10 rebounds and the Mason County Royals ended the game on a 14-3 run to defeat the East Jessamine Jaguars 49-47 on Saturday night in the Mike Murphy Classic at The Fieldhouse.
Mason County scored the first 10 points of the game only to see East Jessamine score the next 10.
The Jaguars took their first lead at 32-31 early in the fourth quarter and were up 44-35 with 3:04 to play. Then Mason County (4-1) scored 11 straight points.
An "and-one" by Horch started the comeback and Myrick's 3-pointer from the right wing put the Royals up 49-45 with 19 seconds left.
East Jessamine (0-5) scored with two seconds remaining but was out of timeouts.
Teegin Routt added nine points and eight rebounds and Garryon McClain had seven points and seven rebounds for Mason County which ran its winning streak to three games despite shooting just 31.3% from the field.
The Royals will travel to Brooksville on Tuesday night to play the Bracken County Polar Bears.
