The Mason County Royals shot 57.9% from the field, but committed 19 turnovers and lost to the Rowan County Vikings 61-57 on Tuesday night.
Mason County (1-1) led by as many as 10 points and was up 54-47 in the fourth quarter before Rowan County (1-0) ended the game on a 14-3 run.
Braeden Myrick led the Royals in scoring with 15 points. Cole Horch had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Garryon McClain scored 13 points and Teegin Routt added 10 points.
Mason County will play at Augusta on Saturday night.
