In need of a bounce-back win after last week’s 49-0 loss to Covington Catholic, the Mason County Royals will host the Lawrence County Bulldogs on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the final game of the regular season.
Lawrence County (6-3) is coming off a 42-20 loss to the Boyd County Lions.
Mason County lost to Boyd County 3-0 on September 13.
Rowan County is the other common opponent for Lawrence County and Mason County.
The Bulldogs opened the season with a 28-6 victory over the Vikings.
The Royals defeated the Vikings 40-16 on September 20.
Mason County is 4-0 at home. Lawrence County is 2-2 on the road.
The Royals lost to the Bulldogs 20-14 in Louisa Last season.
In the first round of the football playoffs next week, Mason County will host Greenup County and Lawrence County will be at home vs. Clay County.
