Lady Royals and Lady Saints in soccer district tourney semifinals

The Mason County and St. Patrick girls' soccer teams both ended the season on Monday night with losses in the semifinals of the 38th District Tournament at Pendleton County.

Mason County lost to Pendleton County 3-2 in a stunning upset.

The Lady Royals had defeated the Lady Wildcats 6-1 on September 30 and Pendleton County entered postseason play with a 3-12 record.

Harley Durham-Campbell and Zoey Hamilton each scored a goal and Sarah Payne had an assist for the Lady Royals on Monday night.

Mason County finished the season with an 11-5-2 record.

Durham-Campbell scored a team-high 26 goals this season.

The St. Patrick Lady Saints were shutout by the Harrison County Fillies 7-0 to end the season with a 3-8-2 record.

Pendleton County and Harrison County will meet in the championship game on Wednesday night.
