Madison Central junior Jake Feldhaus shot a 1-over par 73 in the opening round of the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac KHSAA Boys' State Golf Championship on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club and is tied for 10th place, just three shots off the lead.
Madison Central, vying for its third straight state championship, shot 4-over 292 and has a seven-shot lead over Trinity.
The final round will be played on Wednesday.
